Positive Self Worth
This was my 5th competition in the span of 2 years. I love discipline, routine and structure. I love the weekly countdown & watching my body change every week. But while all those things were a positive for me IN prep, they contributed to my negative body image afterwards once I started to gain weight. When your self worth is wrapped up in the aesthetics of your body & the physical progress you make week to week its HARD to see it change even when it is for the better.
One way you can train your mind against this (in prep and post) is to practice finding new ways of progress. Your physical progress doesn't define your self worth!
I encourage you to define your self worth by your actions (not your outcomes). Did you win the day? Did you do experience self growth? Did you stick to your 3 Key Habits?
