In this episode, we’re sitting down with Erin Claire Jones to learn about Human Design and how we can use the information to reach our highest potential. I fell in love with Human Design when I stumbled across Erin’s profile last year and went down the rabbit hole on learning all the things! As I dove deeper into it, it’s given me more permission to be myself, so I'm super excited to bring it to you so that you can have the tools to know yourself better too!

The 5 types within Human Design

There are 5 types within Human Design- manifestors, generators, manifesting generators, projectors, and reflectors. Each type has certain properties that create who you are and how you react to each part of your life.  

the wisdom and shadow of certain aspects of our design

Erin shares the wisdom and shadow of certain aspects of our design. Within our design, there are so many ways to be in the high expression of it. The wisdom is the high points and the shadows are the places we’re not living in our design. We want to orient toward the wisdom and not getting sucked into our shadows.

The different types of  inner authority

We take a deep dive into the ego energy center, what it means for it to be defined and open. Depending on what type you are, it will dictate whether or not you have an open center. This will tell you how you respond to certain aspects of others’ responses. 

A tool to tune into your gut response

There are different types of  inner authority. In order to tap into them to make aligned decisions, we have to know what they are. This is a  tool to tune into your gut response. For so many of us, we have taught ourselves to NOT trust our gut and so I dive into it when you don’t know how after years of not listening to your intuition

Some advice to the ⅗ profile

We then dove into the 12 different profiles that con exist. There are 6 different numbers, but then 12 combinations. Erin mentioned that for anyone with a 3 in their profile (like me), we learn things through making mistakes. For those of us, there’s no such thing as a mistake and we learn something from every single thing that happens. We discover what works and what doesn’t, so we need to surround ourselves with people who understand that. For me, I am also a 5 and according to Erin, that means I’m a natural problem solver. 

Conditions around how we best eat with our design

The final point that I wanted Erin to talk about were conditions around how we best eat with our design, Erin did mention that it’s not usually the first area she dives into with people, since it can be dependent on other things as well. There are some people who need more consistency (eating scheduled meals) and some people only need to eat when they’re hungry. Some people are meant to eat one food at a time and others don’t mind eating everything together. There’s so much more, but this is so interesting!
