Giving Yourself Permission with Jen Beverage

This week on the show I invited my friend and Spiritual Evolution Coach Jen Beverage and she brings so much fun, feminine, wise women energy for us. We talked A LOT about things that were kind of all over the board--but kept pointing us back to becoming the highest version of ourselves.

The Gifts That Fun and Play Bring Back Into Our Lives

Jen holds sisterhood circles and within the circle she also puts together dance parties that allows women to embody their feminine energy. She hosted a dance party with a focus on inner child healing where they were able to dance freely with their inner child. Oftentimes when our inner child shows up for us it’s during a time where we don’t feel safe. She wants to have fun and play. Fun and play allows us to get out of our head and into our body. Something I’d love for you to reflect on is: What do you like to do for fun? What gifts do you see possible if you allowed more fun and pleasure in your life?

How To Change Our Mindsets About Prioritizing Ourselves (especially great for you mamas!)

What do you like to do for fun? If you struggle with answering this question or your mind goes straight to, “not having the time” to do anything fun, I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to be productive to have fun. I know what it feels like to not feel worthy of time spent doing something fun because there’s a fear of wasting time. It’s important to distinguish the benefit of tapping into creativity, specifically how it would benefit your life. Mamas reading this: What are the benefits for your kids if their mama is excited and happy about life? What are the benefits that you see in your relationship with your kids, partner, and mental wellbeing?

Enjoying Your Life As You Are Creating Your Vision

To all my business women and entrepreneurs, I challenge you to create your schedule with self care as top priority. Sometimes, we become so hyper focused in where we are going that we stop being present. Yes, we can spend our time creating the life we want. However, what’s in front of you isn’t always guaranteed. Imagine trading your time for a vision that you don’t end up reaching. Then you’ve realized that you weren’t even happy on the journey either.

The most powerful thing you can do is set up your life so you’re enjoying it while also creating your vision. -Jen Beverage

Let go of deciding that you need your vision in order to be happy. Give yourself permission to be happy now.

How Jen Brings Spirituality Into Her Coaching Containers

Jen gave herself permission to incorporate spirituality into her coaching container. She brings it into women depending on what they need most in that moment. She typically introduces spirituality through meditation and how to connect more internally. Jen expresses how meditation creates access to the wisdom that is within us because it is ours, it is meant for us.

An Easy and FUN Way to Bring Meditation Into Your Daily Practice

Understand that meditation and journaling is a way to check in with yourself. I’ve said it before, imagine if you didn’t get a chance to connect with your partner. That’s not something most people would do! We have this instinct to want to connect with our loved ones but why don’t we have that same energy ourselves? Get out of your head and into your body. If stillness doesn’t work for you, that’s okay! Guide yourself through it. Jen guides her meditations by bringing herself to a lodge. This lodge welcomes everyone and it is a place where she is able to connect with whoever shows up in her lodge in spirit. It’s a safe space for her to seek wisdom and a place for her to be her highest self; she is able to work with her mind and spirit through these guided meditations.

Why You'll Want To Start Incorporating More Dance Into Your Life

If you think about it, we are in our bodies 24/7. Our body is our only real companion, from the start of our life to the end. It’s important to spend intentional time cultivating a relationship with our body especially because we’ve been conditioned to understand that our bodies are meant to be used (i.e. used to work, used to show up for others). Dancing more in your life will amplify more fun and more pleasure. We are meant to experience both pain and joy. Understand that you have the power to do whatever it is your body enjoys doing.
